Our Society wants to involve everyone to help, protect, save and heal what has been and is still happening to wildlife and the environment. We must join as one people to save ourselves by doing what is right in correcting what we and our ancestors had done to the environment and everything that lived in it.
Regardless of age or gender, exposing ourselves to nature helps us lower our stress levels, and relax our minds. For children, being in contact with vast green landscapes and natural settings improves their ability to learn, hones their agility and balance and can significantly calm those with anxiety and mood disorders. And, a childhood connection with the outdoors can lead to a lifelong ethic of respect for a clean and healthy environment.
It is our responsibility to make up for our actions and preserve what we have while it is still here. Nothing should be more important to us, as Syrians, than the beautiful, pristine landscape we have inherited. With that being said, I say it is time for us to take action and I am asking you to lead the way in making a difference for today and for future generations to come; both for human appreciation and other species alike. We are all connected and one outcome will not go without affecting the other.
